It took a long time for me to consider myself an artist.

Through life experience, I came to realize that I have always been an artist. I remember vividly creating in kindergarten. I believe my life purpose is to teach and to create. This is all I do now, really all I have ever done, and all I aspire to do for as long as I am able to. 
 

I find myself mostly inspired by the literature I read and the music I listen to. Besides memory, most of my work centers around these two things. As an artist, my main goal is to create authentically in a fun and open way, but also to make work that is completely accessible. What I mean, is I holistically think of myself, my feelings, my experiences, my interests and just hope that it connects with someone else in an easy to understand way. I don't want viewers to have to decipher what I am trying to depict. I want you to feel and understand without the dissertation. All of my recent work has been centered around these thoughts.
